Chapter I — The Loungewear Edit
Fabric & Care
Every Musso set is cut from a soft, breathable cotton-modal blend that feels light against the skin and drapes beautifully through the day. The fabric is pre-washed for a relaxed, lived-in hand and finished with a subtle, matte surface that holds color exceptionally well.
The Material
We chose a mid-weight jersey knit — soft enough for sleep, structured enough to wear out. The cotton brings breathability and a natural, earthy texture, while the modal adds a gentle drape and resistance to pilling. The result is a set that moves with you, keeps its shape, and gets softer with every wash.
Each piece is sewn in small batches in Senegal with finished seams and a relaxed silhouette. The dyes are garment-dyed, which gives the warm, tonal colors a slight depth and means each set may carry a unique, sun-washed character.
Washing
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors.
- Use a mild, pH-neutral detergent — avoid bleach or fabric softener.
- Turn the set inside out to protect the surface and seams.
- Tumble dry low or lay flat to dry in the shade.
Removing Wrinkles
Because the fabric is naturally relaxed, light creases can appear after washing or travel. We recommend steaming to remove wrinkles — it is the gentlest way to refresh the cotton-modal knit without compressing the fibers.
- Hang the set on a wide hanger so the fabric falls freely.
- Fill your steamer with distilled water and let it heat fully.
- Hold the steamer nozzle a few inches from the fabric and move slowly from top to bottom.
- Let the piece air-dry for a minute before wearing or storing.
If you do not have a steamer, a warm iron on the reverse side with a pressing cloth will also work. Avoid direct heat on the right side of the fabric to preserve the soft, matte finish.
Storage
Fold your set loosely and store it in a cool, dry place. Avoid hanging heavy knit pieces for long periods, as this can stretch the shoulders over time. With simple care, your Musso set should keep its color, shape, and softness.
